YOUNG PEOPLE (13-18)

The teenage brain is a fascinating creature. I really enjoy working with this age group.

A lot of the emotions and behaviours that occur at this age can be normalised for young people through educating them around what is happening to them biologically and neurologically.

From this point of understanding, we can develop strategies to manage our responses more effectively and build life skills to help navigate this tricky time.

I use CBT techniques to build a way of looking at the world and challenging our experiences to become more helpful.

Young People’s sessions generally last 50 minutes. Confidentiality is given fully to the Young Person unless there is risk of harm.

ADULTS (18+)

The adult brain has capacity for great change but also for great sabotage.

We can go through life without realising the unhelpful theories we are carrying that shape how we experience the world. By growing our self awareness and understanding, we can look at changing our habits, our thinking and, sometimes, our environment.

Depending on the need, adults can be offered CBT, counselling or EMDR to manage the feelings that are creating distress. Please see What I Offer for more information.
