The book to help more young people
As a therapist working with hundreds of school students, I saw so many young people struggling with the same issues and worries including …Why do I feel so alone? Why does the world feel so hard? Why am I so tired?
Behind all of these questions are often answers that connect all teenagers in their journey through adolescence. I noticed that, once I had explained some basic principles of what happens during this time of life such as how our brains change, it really helped the young people I was working with. They felt relieved to know a lot of this was biology at play and that there were things they could do to help.
I wrote The Trip as a way of getting this information out to more young people to support them through this tricky time. The book is rooted in a story following a group of teenagers but also full of neuroscience and therapeutic ideas, as well as exercises and fact sheets.
Ideal for any young to mid teens, or anyone supporting this age group.
